In 2007, our Psi brothers accepted the challenge of building a new Mansion on the Hill. We were the leaders of a housing revolution in Tuscaloosa. Sixteen years later, the growth of our chapter has presented us with a need that we must address again.

There are areas where we must improve to keep DKE at the top of the fraternity system at UA. While we are land locked and cannot compete on sleeping capacity, we can capitalize on our best-in-class location. 

The foremost change needed for our home is the expansion of gathering, dining, and social spaces throughout. What we learned as our chapter grew was that non-resident brothers use our house as much or more than our residents. Whether it’s to study, socialize, share meals, or attend chapter meetings, we are literally busting at the seams trying to accommodate the needs of the brotherhood.  

Add to that alumni events, home football game days, and parents’ weekends—the need for greater gathering space and better crowd control is clear. We’ve made the decision to answer this challenge as all Psi brothers should: head-on and with full support.
